« back to classes page
This course will provide students with the opportunity to learn basic techniques and approach to painting with Acrylics. Subject matter will begin with simple objects and help students learn how to create basics with dimension, light, shadow, and value. Other issues addressed will be how to create thicker impasto approach, glazing and varnishing techniques.

A wonderful water-based medium that is fun, forgiving, fast and non-toxic. The possibilities are endless and can be life-changing when explored in the depth of all it can be and do. Basic drawing skills are invaluable for this class and all students must provide their own materials. The collective materials are initially expensive and not recommended for those who merely wish to experiment with this medium on a first time basis. Suggested materials guide will be provided online for students before sessions begin.
